Following remediation, we will teach you how to prevent, control, and manage potential indoor water and moisture conditions to prevent mold growth in your home or business.

What to expect

1. Assess the mold damage and fix the water source problem. Depending on the severity, it may be necessary for another Mold Assessment Consultant to write a protocol. In Texas, a Mold Remediation Contractor cannot also be the Mold Assessment Consultant on the same mold project.

2. Work Plan. Once the inspection is complete, CCTRS develops a scope of work for the project and creates an agreement for costs. Once approved and funded, the project begins.

3. Containment. The removal and cleaning of contents in the affected areas followed by negative air pressure containment to secure the work area.

4. Remediation. Demolition and removal of all visible mold under negative air pressure using HEPA air filtration devices.

5. Structural Cleaning. Building components are sanded or wire brushed, HEPA vacuumed and wiped down. The HEPA air filtration device is converted to scrub mode to filter out the spores and mold fragments in the air.

6. Project Completion. The MAC will conduct a visual inspection and possibly take samples to validate the remediation was successful and the home is back to normal.

7. Rebuilding.
